The "Friends" Cast Issued a Statement on Matthew Perry's Death    

Matthew Perry's "Friends" co-stars released a joint statement yesterday. Here's what they said:

 

 

"We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew.  We were more than just cast mates.  We are a family.  There is so much to say, but right now we're going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss.

 

 

"In time we will say more, as and when we are able.  For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty's family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world."

 

 

The message was signed by Jennifer AnistonCourteney CoxLisa KudrowMatt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer.

 

 

Schwimmer was spotted in Manhattan yesterday, but he was trying to hide his identity with a baseball hat and face mask.

New Details on Matthew Perry's Death    

 

 

New details emerged yesterday on the death of Matthew Perry.

 

 

The "L.A. Times" says Matthew was discovered UNDER WATER in his hot tub by a "bystander", who then called 911.

 

 

By the time help arrived, the bystander had repositioned Matthew with his head out of the water.  But he was already dead.

 

 

An autopsy has been completed, but an official cause of death is pending the results of toxicology and other tests.

In the months leading up to his death, Matthew was in the process of starting a foundation to help people suffering from substance abuse.
