Halloween Cocktails To Rock Your Weekend.

Despite the political and ideological differences that split this country apart, there are still a few things that we can all get behind – the time change is stupid, we should all have the Monday after the Super Bowl off work as a holiday, and Halloween should always be celebrated on the last Saturday in October. If you’re celebrating the scary season, this weekend’s when you’ll be doing the most damage…so here are some cocktail ideas to help you do it right.

  • Death in the Afternoon – A favorite of Earnest Hemmingway that tops absinthe with champagne
  • Zombie – A tiki bar classic that combines three rums, absinthe, lime juice, bitters, grenadine, and gardenia mix into a blended glass of joy
  • Corpse Reviver #2 – In the 1870’s it was said to be a “hangover cure,” mixing gin, Lillet Blanc, orange liqueur, and lemon juice
  • Bloody Mary – A classic with an evil name
  • Pumpkin Sazerac – The most storied cocktail out of New Orleans, with a pumpkin spin…cognac, rye whiskey, bitters, and swap out the sugar cube with spiced pumpkin syrup.
  • Great Pumpkin – A Halloween combo of pumpkin ale, apple brandy, bonded rye whiskey, maple syrup, and an egg
  • Undead Gentleman – A twist on the Zombie with two rums, grapefruit and lime juices, falernum, cinnamon syrup, and Angostura bitters.
  • White Bat – When you cross a White Russian with a Rum & Coke
  • Tequila Corpse Reviver – Wake the dead with blanco tequila, blanc vermouth, triple sec, absinthe, and the juice from a lime and orange
  • Jack-O-Lantern Punch – Perfect for a party, just mix up some muddled sugar cubes, aged rum, cloves, lemon and apple juices, and club soda.
  • Black Widow – A bite that will be savored by anyone who enjoys a quality margarita – muddled basil and blackberry leaves, Blanco tequila, lime juice, and agave nectar
  • Necromancer – Similar to the Corpse Reviver #2, but heavier on the absinthe, dialing back on the gin, and replacing the orange liqueur with elderflower
  • Grave Digger – Vanilla-infused brandy, coffee liqueur, Grand Marnier, freshly brewed espresso, and topped with whipped cream and a crushed Oreo cookie
  • Psycho Killer – Knock ‘em dead with a combination of Irish whiskey, white crème de cacao, banana liqueur, cocoa nib-infused Campari

But wait, there’s more…get the complete recipes for these and other drinks here.
