Green Day Announced a 2024 Stadium Tour with The Smashing Pumpkins and Rancid

 

Green Day is going on a stadium tour next year with The Smashing PumpkinsRancid, and The Linda Lindas. But there's no word on dates or locations yet.

 

 

Billie Joe Armstrong made the announcement Thursday night during a surprise show in Las Vegas. They played their album "Dookie", which turns 30 in February.

 

 

They also debuted a new song called, "The American Dream Is Killing Me". It comes out tomorrow. It'll be the first single off their upcoming album.

Halloween is still over a week out, but people online are already saying this is the winner . . .

 

 

A guy in Alabama named Griff Amos dressed up as Jelly Roll for an early Halloween party, and his friend posted side-by-side shots of him online.

 

 

If you saw him on the street, you might think he was the real deal. It helps that he kind of looks like Jelly Roll, anyway.

 

 

It was good enough to earn a retweet from Jelly himself.

"Rock Lobster" Is an Animal Rights Song    

 

 

Sure, you love to dance to "Rock Lobster" at weddings.  But do you ever stop to wonder how the lobster's doing?  Because that's what Fred Schneider of the B-52's WANTED you to do.

 

 

Kate Pierson says, quote, "The rock lobster represents animal rights to Fred.  He's a staunch vegetarian.  To him, he really thought of saving the lobster."

 

 

Kate also says that late guitarist Ricky Wilson wasn't necessarily sold on the song's famous riff when he first came up with it.  Quote, "I remember Ricky came in and said, 'I've just written the stupidest guitar line.'

 

 

"Which, if you've ever worked on a collaborative creative endeavor, you know that's the sound of someone striking genius."

Liam Gallagher Adds Shows To "Definitely Maybe" Tour... Then Sells Out Again.

Though former Oasis stars and brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher continue to take shots at each other, it doesn’t seem to be hurting ticket sales. Liam quickly added dates to his previously announced tour of his former band’s debut album “Definitely Maybe.”

“Thank you for your continued BIBLICAL support,” wrote Liam on social media shortly after initial sales dropped. The rocker then announced two new shows in London and Manchester on June 11th and 28th of next year… but those shows also sold out the same day. Will there be more dates for UK fans? Stay tuned.
