Some guy got arrested for trying to climb the Eiffel Tower on Thursday. An eyewitness said he had a sign that read, "Free Billie Eilish."
Firefighters helped him down so he wasn't hurt. And here's a fun twist: His stunt ended up leading to a surprise proposal.
All the stairwells were shut down while they dealt with the climber, so a bunch of tourists were stuck at the top. One of them was a guy from D.C. named Amir Khan, who was there with his girlfriend.
He'd been planning to propose later that night but decided it was meant to be. She said yes.

A Car Lot Trapped a Thief by Using a Forklift to Hoist Him 20 Feet in the Air
The hardest part about catching a thief is keeping them from running off before the cops can get there . . . but THIS could work if you have a FORKLIFT sitting around.
An auto shop/scrap yard in Akron, Ohio, has been struggling with thieves, so when they saw an intruder in one of the cars on their lot, they drove a forklift over and lifted the car off the ground.
The workers called 911 and said that they had the thief stuck in a car on the forklift. The dispatcher laughed and said, "Wonderful, that is the greatest thing I've ever heard. We will get somebody out to you."
When the cops arrived, they arrested the suspect. He had a backpack with sawing tools on him. They asked him what he was there to steal, and he replied, "Uh, copper, to be honest, brother, not gonna lie."
The man was a 26-year-old named Alexander Funk. The employees say they believe he had broken in at least two times before. Alexander was charged with criminal trespassing and possessing criminal tools.

A Thief Posed as a Mannequin and Waited for a Mall to Close
It's amazing something this dumb could actually work: A 22-year-old guy in Poland is facing charges for stealing stuff from several stores in a shopping mall after the place closed. So how did he get in?
He went in while the mall was still open . . . got into a clothing store's window display . . . and pretended he was a MANNEQUIN until everyone left.
There's a security cam shot of him standing in the window, holding a shopping bag. He doesn't look like the other mannequins, but no one notices.
Once everyone was gone, he stopped posing, stole a bunch of stuff from a jewelry stand, and left. And he might have gotten away with it if he'd stopped there. But he apparently tried it a second time on a different day.
Again, no one noticed at first. That time, he went to a restaurant in the mall and had a meal. Then he got into a clothing store and put on a new outfit.
Security finally spotted him when he went back to the restaurant to eat again. He's facing up to 10 YEARS in prison.
