Blink-182's Mark Hoppus Had to Re-Learn How to Sing and Play Bass After His Cancer Battle

It's been a little over two years since Mark Hoppus from Blink-182 shared he's cancer-free.  But when it came to making music again, he had to re-learn how to sing and play bass all over again.

He says, quote, "I was still [effing] hollow, just a shell.  [I had a] [crappy], weak brain eaten with the chemotherapy and pain and everything else . . . The chemo wrecked my vocal cords.  I had to go to work with a vocal coach . . .

"I had to rebuild my throat.  I had all this stuff had to rebuild to get to the point where we could go and walk on stage at Coachella and have one of the biggest shows of our career and have . . . one of the best albums we've ever written."

In related news, Travis Barker says that having a broken friendship with Tom DeLonge weighed heavy on his heart, so he's grateful to come back together as a band of brothers.
