Corey Taylor Releases New Single "We Are The Rest"

Slipknot frontman and busy solo rocker Corey Taylor has continued to build the hype for his sophomore solo release, “CMF2.” Taylor released “We Are The Rest” before the new album’s release this Friday.

“We Are The Rest” is the fourth single of the new LP, and Taylor’s also dropped a video for the new track. Taylor has sung the praises of his collaborator for the album, producer Jay Ruston (who’s previously worked with Anthrax, Amon Amarth, and others). “Together, we have great ideas, great energy, and are quick to try everything,” gushed Taylor.

But it seems that being maybe rock’s busiest man is taking a toll on Taylor. Earlier this year, he said he only has “five years left” to tour… and now he’s revealed he’s “almost in constant pain” due to his years on the road. Taylor admits he takes care of himself, but “I have a lot of f***ing miles on me- it’s hard for me.”

Check out Taylor’s new single (and video), “We Are The Rest,” here.

Your generosity, and your ability to so powerfully, vulnerably, and empathically articulate your deep kindness . . . [I'm] deeply moved.  Love you."
