Smashing Pumpkins Is Taking Us Back To The 90's And Tower Records.
As they celebrate the 30th birthday of their legendary album “Siamese Dream,” The Smashing Pumpkins is breaking out the Time Machine. The band has announced a partnership with Tower Records to take us back to the 90s with a pop-up in Illinois.
A tea shop in Highland Park, IL owned by Billy Morgan and Chloé Mendel, is getting a makeover by the former record store giant. The experience will include limited-edition merchandise only available in the store until a special live-stream performance to wrap up the three-day event. On September 17th, the band will play the exact intimate acoustic set of “Siamese Dream” that they played on July 27, 1993.
If you can’t make it to Highland Park, Illinois, on September 14th, you can at least check out the stream by buying a streaming ticket here.
