No, Chicago doesn't have a brand-new NUDE BEACH.
An official-looking sign randomly showed up at Loyola Beach along Lake Michigan, which says, "Nude Beach Past This Sign." But it's just a prank.
City officials reported the fake sign and had it removed. It sounds like it was caught quickly, so it probably wasn't up long enough to trick anyone into removing their clothes.
No word put the sign up. Maybe it was some high school kids, who were hiding nearby with binoculars. Or maybe it was a HISTORY BUFF.
A city official says that in 1932 . . . more than 90 years ago . . . someone DID introduce a resolution at the city council to create a nude beach in that same spot. It didn't happen, though. And it's unclear if the prankster knew that.
