Some Guy Tossed a Firework Into a "Silent Disco"

This is the first Fourth of July-related crime of the year.

Someone tossed a FIREWORK into a "silent disco" event in the L.A. area a couple of weeks ago.  The police just released a video of the punk, who looks young, maybe between 18 and 25.  They're still looking for him . . . and the two people who were with him at the time.

The guy pulled out the firework . . . lit it . . . and threw it into the crowd.  Officials say there was a "significant explosion" . . . and fragments hit multiple people . . . but thankfully, there were no life-threatening injuries.

The suspect sped off on a motorized beach cruiser bike with an American flag near the back of it.  Police are investigating it as a possible hate crime.

"Silent discos" are dance parties where there's no music being played on speakers.  Instead, people are wearing LED wireless headphones, and the music is transmitted that way.

A Wig Sticking Out of a Woman's Trunk Prompted a 911 Call

If you saw this in October, you might think it was a Halloween joke.  But not in June . . .

Someone in a small town near Akron, Ohio, called 911 this month when they saw HAIR sticking out from the trunk of someone's car.  They thought someone was in there . . . maybe a dead body.  But there was a much more innocent explanation.

Cops figured out where the owner lived and knocked on her door.  Her name is Toria Townsend, and she was confused until she realized what happened.

She sometimes wears a WIG.  But she'd just gone to get her hair done . . . tossed the wig in her trunk without looking . . . and part of it was sticking out.

She posted doorbell-cam footage of her talking to the cops.  As soon as she said "wig," one of them cracked up and said, "You've gotta come to see it."

Toria says she's glad someone called the cops, because it shows how much her community cares.
