The OceanGate Disaster Gave a Sales Bump to "My Heart Will Go On"  

Seriously people, what are you thinking???  Ever since that OceanGate submersible imploded during its tourist visit to the Titanic wreckage, people have been streaming Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On."

 

 

That was, of course, the theme song to James Cameron's "Titanic."  And for some reason, this recent disaster caused people to thirst for it.

 

 

On Friday, just a day after it was announced that the five people on board had been killed, the song had been streamed almost 523,000 times.

 

Meanwhile, Netflix is being dragged because it's bringing "Titanic" back this coming Saturday.

It's not clear if the decision had anything to do with OceanGate.  "Titanic" is just one of almost 100 titles being added on July 1st. 

 But the announcement was just made last week, so the timing is unfortunate, if not suspect.
