It's the end of an era: 76-year-old Pat Sajak is retiring as the host of "Wheel of Fortune." The 41st season that starts in September will be his last. But he'll be sticking around as a consultant for three years after.
He says, quote, "It's been a wonderful ride, and I'll have more to say in the coming months. Many thanks to you all . . . If nothing else, it'll keep the clickbait sites busy!"
Pat's been the host of the syndicated version since it debuted in 1983. No word will replace him.
