Sorry, America:  Netflix's Crackdown on Password Sharing Is Working

If you were hoping that Netflix's crackdown on password-sharing was going to blow up in their faces, I have bad news for you . . .

Netflix started enforcing it on May 23rd . . . and over the next six days, they averaged 73,000 new signups per day . . . including nearly 100,000 on the 26th and 27th.

From May 25th to the 28th, they had the most sign-ups since early 2019.

The spike in May was also bigger than what they saw in March and April of 2020 when people were signing up like crazy in the early months of pandemic lockdowns.

Netflix also saw an increase in cancellations, but the new subscriptions more than made up for that.
