Tenacious D Explains Current Tour Into The Fall

Yes, They are coming to Houston.

The self-proclaimed greatest rock band of all time, Tenacious D, is extending their current tour. Rock duo Jack Black and Kyle Gass have confirmed they will head into the US for a seven-date, multiple-state engagement.

“The Spicy Meatball Tour is rolling into a city near you this fall,” said Black with his trademark enthusiasm on Instagram. Black joined his bandmate in announcing pre-sales, which began yesterday.

The “Spicy Meatball Tour” will return to the US from Europe for a one-show engagement in Los Angeles in late June. But their road tour will kick off September 6th in Charlotte, NC and travel through the South and Midwest before wrapping up in Austin, TX, on September 15th. Check out the dates below:

An artist presale has already begun via Ticketmaster using the code SPICY, while a Live Nation pre-sale starts Thursday (June 7th) at 10 a.m. ET using the code DISCO. General tickets sales launch on Friday (June 9th).

Slipknot's Clown Withdraws From Upcoming Tour.

Heavy metal icons Slipknot will be without their percussionist and co-founder Shawn “Clown” Crahan during their upcoming appearances. Just as the band kicked off their European tour yesterday, Clown revealed his wife is struggling with “some health issues.”

“I would like to take a moment to tell everyone that I’m back home supporting my wife through some health issues,” wrote Clown online, assuring fans he would “be back on the road as soon as I can.” “We’ve been through this before, and as always, we appreciate the love and support. See all of you very soon.”

While there is no timeline for Clown’s return, the band seems ready to play on. In addition to their tour, Slipknot plans to return stateside to perform at Download Festival and Rock Fest, and Inkcarceration in July.

Chris Stapleton's concert tonight in Syracuse, New York, has been postponed because of "hazardous" air quality.  It's the result of smoke from the out-of-control wildfires in Quebec, Canada.  The show will be rescheduled.
