The 50th Anniversary Hip Hop Concert Lineup Includes Run DMC, Snoop Dogg, and Ice Cube
Hip Hop is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year with a concert WHERE it all started in the Bronx, New York. It's called Hip Hop 50 Live, and it goes down the DAY it began on August 11th at Yankee Stadium.
The lineup is STACKED. It includes: Run-D.M.C. . . . Snoop Dogg . . . Ice Cube . . . Lil Wayne . . . Common . . . The Sugarhill Gang . . . Hip Hop creator DJ Kool Herc, and his sister Cindy Campbell . . . and more to be announced.
There will also be a Queens of Hip Hop set with Eve, Lil Kim, Remy Ma, and Trina.
DMC said, quote, "' Up in the Bronx' where it all started, we will be celebrating this historic moment in history! I am honored to pay tribute to the culture that allowed this shy little kid from Queens to grow up and become The Mighty King of Rock!" Tickets go on sale Friday.
(August 11th is considered Hip-Hop's "birthday" because that's the date in 1973 that Herc threw his legendary "back to school jam" block party. You can read more about it here.)

Paramore's Hayley Williams Takes Control, Kicks Fighting Fans Out of Show
As we’ve recently told you, Paramore singer Hayley Williams isn’t afraid of a fight. And at the band’s recent show at Madison Square Garden, Williams proved that once again.
Noticing a scuffle in the audience, Williams quickly interjected. "What is happening," asked the singer while motioning for security to remove the unruly fans. "Hi. Yes, I will embarrass both of you. Both of you need to find somewhere else to take care of that sh*t. That's not happening here. This is our house."
Williams has since apologized for the situation, since it appeared to be a humiliating moment for the fans, but still defended her actions to care for the fans in general. The incident came shortly after Williams brought the youngest member of the US Congress, Rep. Maxwell Frost on-stage to duet on “Misery Business” and put presidential hopeful Ron DeSantis on blast (also NSFW).

George Strait Is Still Setting Attendance Records
In case you need a reminder of why they call George Strait "The King." He's 71 years old and still setting attendance records. Forty-six thousand six hundred forty-one people saw his show last Saturday in Milwaukee. That topped Paul McCartney's 2013 record by over two thousand. And a record-setting 63,891 people attended his concert in Columbus, Ohio, on May 27th.

Noel Gallagher Slams The 1975:
British rocker Noel Gallagher is not known for being sunshine and rainbows, but when it comes to The 1975, he’s extra-grumpy. The former Oasis great shared more thoughts on the Matty Healy-led band, which he’s previously knocked for being “sh*t.” “Someone needs to re-define that immediately,” said Gallagher of 1975’s music. “Because that is . . . I don’t know what that is, but it’s certainly not f***king rock. Whatever rock is, that’s not it." Gallagher’s issue with Healy and The 1975 might stem from a recent interview, in which Healy said Gallagher and his brother Liam should “grow up” and get back together.

Cage, The Elephant Man's Matt Shultz, Gets Deal In Gun Case:
Back in January, we told you that Cage The Elephant Man lead singer Matt Shultz was arrested on a firearms charge in New York City. Now the frontman has avoided serious trouble (and prison time) by taking a plea deal. Shultz pled guilty to three counts, including criminal possession of a firearm, but the terms allowed him to stay out of jail. The conditions state if the singer “stay(s) out of trouble for one year,” he can reduce his felony charges to one misdemeanor. If Shultz can’t manage to avoid getting into more trouble, he potentially faces up to seven years in prison.
