A Guy Robbed a Store with a Box on His Head, But Removed It Long Enough to Be ID'd?
This is like breaking into a bank with gloves on . . . but then removing them to type in the code on the safe.
Last weekend, a man robbed a cell phone repair store in South Florida . . . wearing a cardboard box on his head. He was seen on security cameras walking around with the box on his head, smashing display cases, and stealing phones.
But strangely, he raised the box at one point and showed his face.
The police used that image to identify him as 33-year-old Claude Griffin, and he was arrested later that same day. He was charged with grand theft, burglary, criminal mischief, cocaine possession, and resisting an officer.
He stole 19 iPhones and $8,000 in cash . . . a total value of $15,000. It's unclear how much of it was recovered.
