Billy Joel Is Ending His Record-Breaking Run at Madison Square Garden

Billy Joel's record-breaking residency at Madison Square Garden ends next year after 10 YEARS.

His final show will take place in July of 2024.  By the time it wraps up, he will have played 150 shows.  He's already played 60 more shows at MSG than any other artist.

He also holds the record for the most consecutive shows, at 12.  He's played for more than 1.6 MILLION fans there.  He played MSG for the first time in 1978.

Billy says, quote, "I'm kind of flabbergasted that it lasted as long as it did.  My team tells me that we could continue to sell tickets, but ten years, 150 shows, all right already!"

He added, quote, "I want to thank them for coming to our shows for this long.  It's hard to end, even at 150 lifetime shows.  I just want to thank everyone for the wonderful thing that's happened here."

Jelly Roll Would Only Accept a Pardon Under One Condition

Jelly Roll says he loves it if the governor of Tennessee pardoned him for his past crimes.  But he'd only accept it under one condition . . .

"Billboard" just did a big interview with him where he talked about life as a convicted felon.  He recently told Joe Rogan it cost him his dream house because a gated community wouldn't let him in.

He does a lot of charity work now to keep kids from making the same mistakes he did.  He told "Billboard" he also wants to be a, quote, "guidepost of hope for people to know that losers can win.  That who you were isn't who you are."

He said it would be great if that work eventually earned him a pardon, so he wouldn't be a convicted felon anymore.  He said it would "change [his] whole life."

But he'd only accept it if it came with a change in policy for juveniles who are locked up.  Quote, "Maybe we're disciplining an age group that should be rehabilitated."

By the way, he's got a new album out TODAY called "Whitsitt Chapel."  "Need a Favor" is on it, plus 12 more tracks.

The Mars Volta Sends Danny Masterson A Message After Conviction.

Following yesterday’s news that “That 70’s Show” star Danny Masterson was convicted on two counts of rape in Los Angeles, one rock band has some words for him. The Mars Volta’s frontman, Cedric Bixler-Zavala, didn’t hold back in a since-deleted and emphatically expletive-laden post on Instagram.

"God bless the women that stood up to him and his … family,” wrote the singer, whose wife, Chrissie Carnell-Zavala, was one of Masterson’s accusers. The ‘family’ in question is Masterson’s church, The Church Of Scientology, which represents Masterson and covers up his crimes.

Bixler-Zavala himself has been vocal about the incident involving his wife since at least 2017 when he first accused Scientology of a “cover-up” after his wife filed charges against Masterson. The rocker even testified during the trial. In his caption, Bixler-Zavala included final words to the disgraced actor: “Rot in jail, Danny." Masterson potentially faces 30 years to life in prison.
