Damar Hamlin's On-Field Collapse Last Season May Have Saved a Kid's Life

Remember when Damar Hamlin of the Buffalo Bills collapsed on the field last season?  Well, as terrifying and near-tragic as that was, it may have helped save a kid's life.

A defensive coordinator for the L.A. Rams named Raheem Morris was at a hotel pool in Las Vegas when a 3-year-old boy nearly drowned.  He didn't even have a pulse when his father pulled him from the water.

The lifeguard started providing aid, and Morris rushed to grab an on-site automatic external defibrillator.

He says, quote, "When I got back, we had a doctor on site that was able to start the compressions. I was able to hand the AED to him, get it open for him, put the pads on the child, and he ended up being OK."

Morris says he knew what to do thanks to the training he received BECAUSE OF the Damar Hamlin situation.  A Rams official adds that Hamlin, quote, "inspired our organization to get trained and saved another life."
