If You Rob a Subway Demanding "Bread" . . . You May Need to Clarify
If you're going to rob a place, a Subway restaurant isn't the best choice . . . and not just because they're run by STARVING SANDWICH ARTISTS.
A 20-year-old man in Chicago robbed two Subway restaurants last Wednesday.
The first one apparently went smoothly . . . but at the second one, he almost botched it. He demanded, quote, "all the bread," . . . and the cashier asked him to clarify what kind of "bread" he wanted. The thief made a gesture like he had a gun, and the cashier gave him the cash from the register.
The police caught him and arrested him about 35 minutes later.
The guy was out on bail after allegedly robbing a wireless store two weeks earlier. His public defender said he had three job interviews for various fast-food restaurants.
