Hayley Williams Blasts Ticketmaster

Hayley Williams doesn’t hold many of her opinions back, and recently the Paramore singer took a moment of her show to express herself. Williams paused a Dublin performance to tell Ticketmaster exactly what she thinks of them.

Beginning with a ‘thank you’ to fans for attending, Williams then launched into a tirade. “We don’t take it lightly, we know, honestly, especially now, it’s a huge sacrifice to come to a show because Ticketmaster needs to get their s**t together.” This makes Williams the most recent musician, alongside Neil Young and The Cure, to criticize the ticket vendor for “surge pricing.”

“(Paramore has) put a lot of pressure on ourselves too,” Williams continued. “Because we were like, ‘People are spending money that they don’t have to come and hang out with us and we better give them something that’s worth that’. We just love you so much.” The Cure said they were “sickened” by Ticketmaster’s practice, while Young said “It’s over. The old days are gone” before revealing all the company’s fees do not go to the artist.

The Guys in The Police Get Along Great . . . As Long as They're Not Working Together

Police drummer Stewart Copeland says it's a wonder the band stayed together as long as they did . . . because their working relationship became "poisonous".

He says, quote, "In that studio, we were three pricks with no respect for each other.  We were abusive and we drove each other nuts.  It wasn't physical, it was icily silent between us.  We were mourning the friendship and camaraderie we'd once shared."

Stewart, Andy Summers, and Sting . . . are friends now, but only because they don't work together.

Quote, "We get along great, so long as we don't have to share a stage or a studio.  We've all said to each other how much fun we're having playing the Police's music without having to deal with the other two pricks."

Even after all this, Stewart says he's still optimistic that they'll do some shows together in the future . . . although he gives it a ONE-IN-A-MILLION chance.

Stewart recently reimagined the band's catalog for an album called "Police Deranged for Orchestra."  It's coming out in June.
