Criminals: RentAHitman.com Fooled Another Idiot

RentAHitman.com Fooled Another Idiot

It's amazing anyone could be this dumb, but the parody site RentAHitman.com just caught another idiot.

It's a site started as a joke back in 2005.  But then emails started coming in from people who thought it was real.  So the guys behind it started reporting them to the cops.

It's helped arrest more than 30 people over the years.  And here's the newest moron who fell for it . . .

Last week, the FBI arrested a 21-year-old in Tennessee named Josiah Garcia, after he got in touch to see if RentAHitman was HIRING.

He's a member of the Air National Guard.  Back in February, he submitted his résumé and asked about "obtaining employment as a hitman."

He said he was looking for a job that paid well, and where his military experience could come in handy.  Adding, quote, "What can I say, I enjoy doing what I do.  So if I can find a job that is similar to it – such as this one – put me in coach!"

Police led him on for two months to make sure he wasn't joking.  A quick Google search would have told him the site was fake, but he never checked.

He said he'd be willing to kill for as little as $2,500.  He also said he'd be okay with collecting "fingers and ears as trophies" for his clients.

He agreed to do a hit this month for $5,000 and asked if he "needed to take a photo [of the dead body] as proof."  He was arrested last Wednesday after accepting the money.

An Oregon Man Threw Thousands in Cash Out of His Car Window . . . to "Bless" Others?

Have you ever seen someone litter . . . and immediately pulled over?  Not to confront the offender or to throw the trash away . . . but to keep it for yourself?

A 38-year-old man named Colin McCarthy was driving through Eugene, Oregon last Tuesday evening . . . and he just started hurling 100-dollar bills out of his car window.

He was doing it long enough that the cops were getting calls about it.  They tracked him down, and he told them he was "doing well and wanted to bless others with gifts of money."

The thing is, it WASN'T all his.  His family says he took the money . . . around $200,000 . . . from their shared FAMILY accounts.

The cops gave him a WARNING for littering . . . and they thought about charging him with reckless endangerment or disorderly conduct for creating a dangerous situation on the road with people chasing after the bills.

His family says his decision to spread the wealth has left them BROKE, and they're asking anyone who picked up cash to return it.  It's unclear exactly how much was lost.

The police can't do anything to help them, because Colin's name is on the account.  So that's a family issue.
