Metallica Drops New "72 Seasons" Teaser
In advance of their new album due on April 14th, Metallica has dropped a clip of the LP’s title track. The James Hetfield-fronted band released a 30-second “72 Seasons” teaser ahead of the full song’s debut this Friday.
The album will be the first release of new music since Metallica’s 2016 album “Hardwired… To Self-Destruct.” The band has joined with Trafalgar Releasing to host a worldwide listening party in theaters across the globe on April 13th. “72 seasons is basically the first 18 years of your life,” said Hetfield. “How do you evolve and grow and mature and develop your own ideas and identity of self after those first 72 seasons? ...that's the real interesting part for me."

Singer M Shadows Owes Avenged Sevenfold's New Sound To Drugs
M Shadows is just being honest. Recently we brought you news of Avenged Sevenfold’s first song since 2016, entitled “Nobody.” Well, fans have noticed a different sound from the band, and frontman M Shadows has revealed the inspiration behind the new sound: psychedelic drugs.
“Me and (guitarist Synyster Gates) were exploring deeply in psychedelics throughout the last few years,” admits Shadows. Among the takeaways from his experiences, Shadows confesses he felt the need not to release any music “unless it’s bold.” The singer says he was led to explore outside Avenged Sevenfold’s typical “genre.”
But the rocker admits it was important that they continue to do unique work. “It was basically this psychedelic experience that took us into this 'be bold,’” continued Shadows. “Don't do psychedelics and make Pink Floyd. No, do your own thing and make your own stamp.'"

Smashing Pumpkins To Tour With STP And Others
When Smashing Pumpkins puts on a show, they really put on a show. The Billy Corgan-led band has invited Stone Temple Pilots, Interpol and Rival Sons to join them on their tour of North America.
But it isn’t just about the music. Pro-wrestling fanatic Corgan has announced many tour stops will include action from the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). The 26-stop “World Is A Vampire Tour” has sold out its run in Mexico City and will travel to Australia before coming home.
The tour launches on July 28th in Las Vegas and will bounce around the US before lowering the curtain on September 9th in Noblesville, IN. General tickets go on sale this Friday (March 31st). Smashing Pumpkins has also released their new single, “Spellbinding,” which you can check out on the right.

The Mayor of Allentown Is Sick of That Billy Joel Song
Billy Joel's "Allentown" doesn't exactly CELEBRATE Allentown, Pennsylvania . . . since it's about a steel mill closing and devastating the area.
And 40 years later, some residents are TIRED OF IT. They include Allentown Mayor Matt Tuerk, who was only SEVEN when the song came out.
