"Dilbert" Has Been Dropped by Several Newspapers After Its Creator Said...

The "Dilbert" comic strip has been dropped by several publishers after its creator Scott Adams made some pretty racist comments.

On his YouTube show last week, Adams brought up a poll that asked people if they agreed with the statement "It's okay to be white." In that poll, 26% of Black people disagreed, and others weren't sure.

He said, quote, "If nearly half of all Blacks are not okay with white people . . . that's a hate group. And I don't want to have anything to do with them."

He also said he would no longer help black Americans, and he added, quote, "Based on the current way things are going, the best advice I would give to white people is to get the hell away from Black people."

And he even admitted that he himself had moved to distance himself from Black people.

Then on Saturday, Adams said, quote, "By Monday, I should be mostly canceled. So most of my income will be gone by next week. My reputation for the rest of my life is destroyed. You can't come back from this."

For a little context, the Anti-Defamation League says the phrase "It's okay to be white" was popularized by trolls on 4chan in 2017, and is often used by white supremacists.
