Among Fast-Food Joints, the Worst Bang for Your Buck Is: Shake Shack

 

Fast-food prices have increased over the years. Some of them are still worth the price . . . others, not so much.

 

 

A new study looked at 12 fast-food and fast-casual places and ranked them . . . based on the average cost of a popular meal nationwide.

 

 

Panera Bread is the PRICIEST at almost $15 per meal. Chipotle is second, followed by Blaze Pizza . . . Shake Shack . . . and Jersey Mike's. Chick-fil-A and McDonald's are the cheapest . . . they're both just under $9.

 

 

But which one FEELS the most overpriced . . . for what you get?

 

 

Shake Shack is . . . by far . . . the place that people think is too pricey for what it is. Blaze Pizza is second, followed by MOD Pizza . . . Panera Bread . . . and then Chick-fil-A. 

 

 

McDonald's and Taco Bell scored the best on value . . . people are generally happy with what they get for the price they pay.

Cracker Barrel's Ghost Kitchen Now Sells "Pancake Tacos"

 

 

The fact that Taco Bell isn't announcing this news seems like a miss on their part: PANCAKE TACOS are now a thing that exist, but not at Taco Bell . . .

 

 

Cracker Barrel has a ghost kitchen for delivery orders called "The Pancake Kitchen", and they're selling them.

 

 

It's a fried egg with bacon and cheese folded up in a pancake, with syrup as a dipping sauce. They're served in pairs, so you get two of them.

 

 

There are around 200 Pancake Kitchen locations nationwide, so not every Cracker Barrel has one. You have to check DoorDash, Uber Eats, and GrubHub to see if there's one in your area.

 

 

To be fair to Taco Bell, they did add a WAFFLE TACO in 2014, but it didn't sell well. They discontinued it a year later. (Chew Boom)

Freshly sliced meats are better for you than pre-packaged ones, according to the Cleveland Clinic, and EatThis, NotThat! has come up with a list of seven chains that always hand-slice their meats on every sandwich. Here’s the list.

• Jersey Mike’s – their advertising slogans include “freshly sliced cold subs” and “sliced fresh in front of you,” so you know you will never get pre-packaged deli meats here.
• Togo’s – Togo’s is a California chain, and according to their website, all of their meats are sliced daily.
• Potbelly – a popular sandwich chain that originated in Chicago, all of the sandwiches here feature hand-sliced meats.
• Jimmy John’s – another fast-growing sandwich chain, Jimmy John’s offers hand-sliced meats “in-house every day,” according to their website.
• 5. Blimpie – all of the meats here are sliced to order which means you could have to wait, but fans say it’s worth it.
• 6. Publix – this southern chain features the Pub-Sub, and all of their deli meats are hand-sliced to order.
• 7. Cousins Subs – this chain is based out of Milwaukee and features freshly-baked bread and deli meats that are hand-sliced daily.
