Legendary Songwriter Burt Bacharach Has Died.

Songwriter Burt Bacharach died Wednesday of natural causes. He was 94 years old.

Bacharach composed the music for around 50 top ten hits, and you've probably heard almost ALL of them.

They include "Walk on By, ""Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head," "What the World Needs Now Is Love," "What's New Pussycat?""(They Long to Be) Close to You," and "Do You Know the Way to San Jose."

His partner Hal David, who wrote the lyrics, died in 2012.

Bacharach won eight Grammys, including a lifetime achievement award in 2008, and three Oscars . . . including Best Song for another one of his hits, "Arthur's Theme (The Best That You Can Do)," from the 1981 movie "Arthur."

He also appeared as himself in all three "Austin Powers" movies.

Here he is in the first one

He teamed up with Elvis Costello in "The Spy Who Shagged Me." In "Goldmember", he appeared briefly in the end credits.

Dionne Warwick was a frequent collaborator of Burt and Hal's. She said, quote, "We laughed a lot and had our run-ins, but always found a way to let each other know our family, like roots, were the most important part of our relationship."
