- TikTok beauty influencer Mikayla Nogueira is under fire after she posted a review -(posted below)of L’Oreal’s Telescoptic Lift mascara. She claimed the mascara “changed” her life and “looks like false lashes” but viewers weren’t convinced, commenting things like “i know cluster lashes when I see em.”
Even OG beauty influencer Jeffree Starr clapped back, claiming Mikayla was lying! “I’ll be BACK to reviewing makeup products next week. These f*cking bitches can’t stop lying to their audiences and it makes me SICK,” he tweeted. He didn’t stop there, he took to TikTok to share the “truth” about this mascara. “Mikayla, you set the tone now. I used to set the tone on YouTube. When I said something did not work, the f*cking internet knew I was telling the truth. So when people are distrusting you, you gotta understand why,” he said in the vid. “Is it the greatest thing on the planet? No, but I’m not getting paid to say that. …be careful. Do not be influenced so easily by people, and be careful.”
Other beauty influencers also weighed in. James Charles shared his “unsponsored” review. Beauty guru Alissa Ashley accused Mikayla of "allegedly, I'm gonna say alleged, she put on a false lash to promote a mascara." YouTuber Raw Beauty Kristi also shared a TikTok saying "I think it's our responsibility and duty as influencers to keep our authenticity. It's what we have."
