Have you ever seen the TLC reality show "I Am Shauna Rae"? It's about a woman named . . . well . . . Shauna Rae.
She's 23 years old, but she had brain cancer as a child, and the treatment stunted her growth. She's 3-foot-10, 50 pounds, and she looks about eight years old.
She started seeing a travel blogger named Dan Swygart, who's 26 years old. And some people think he's a CREEP.
Shauna looks like a kid, but she IS a grown woman. It probably comes down to what attracted him to her in the first place. And a few weeks ago, he posted a video explaining the relationship.
He said, quote, "It's very important to remember that Shauna is an incredible 23-year-old woman who has a disability . . .
"As soon as you say that she can't have a real-world connection with someone else, you dehumanize her. She is a human being. She deserves to have relationships and connections with whoever she wants."
The other day he posted a follow-up, blasting all the haters.
Swygart appeared in the second season of "I Am Shauna Rae," but he's back home in the U.K. now, so the romance is up in the air.
Shauna says, quote, "I haven't actually really thought about if Dan and I were in a relationship and how that would look.
"I assume that we would probably try long-distance, but I've been in a long-distance relationship. It's not my cup of tea."
