Pantera’s Rex Brown To Leave Tour Due To Covid

The launch of Pantera’s reunion tour hit a bad note earlier this week. Bassist Rex Brown has dropped out of the band’s South America dates due to covid-19. Brown took to Instagram to reveal he caught “a very mild strain of Covid” and, out of concern for his bandmates and crew, would be temporarily stepping back. Pantera launched their reunion in Mexico on December 2nd and is scheduled to play through December 18th in Chile and Brazil. Brown has kept his sense of humor, however, writing: “I’m feeling better & am on my way to a speedy recovery. Merry F**n Christmas & see you all next Year!” The band is set to resume its tour in May 2023.
