Judge Dismisses Case Accusing Marilyn Manson Of Sexual Assault

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael L. Stern has dismissed the sexual assault case brought against Marilyn Manson by his former assistant. Ashley Walters had alleged that Manson had used “his position of power, celebrity, and connections to exploit and victimize her during her employment.

Judge Stern dismissed the case “with prejudice,” which means that Walters can’t file the same claims against Manson in Los Angeles Superior Court again; in his dismissal, Stern said that Walters had “too few facts” and pleaded “too late.”

Walters and her attorneys have blasted the dismissal, saying it will “drastically limit the ability of victims of abuse to obtain justice through the legal system.
