This sounds like something you'd JOKE about majoring in at college. But this class is very real: Westminster College in Salt Lake City is in the news . . . for offering a course on PORNOGRAPHIC STUDIES this semester.
The course description claims hardcore pornography is "as American as apple pie, and more popular than Sunday Night Football." It says people who take the class will "watch pornographic films together," and then discuss the, quote, "sexualization of race, class, and gender" as an ART FORM.
Some people want them to cut the course, but the college won't back down. They say it's a valid topic, and there's even a whole academic journal called "Porn Studies". At least 14 students . . . all over 18 . . . have signed up for the class so far.
