Crazy Criminals: Someone Stole an Actual Fork in the Road

Someone Stole an Actual Fork in the Road

Well, this is pretty forking ridiculous: There's a small town near Ottawa called Frankville. And in 2019, the town council installed a huge fork sculpture where a single road splits in two . . . a literal "fork in the road."

But it's not where it's supposed to be right now, because someone just STOLE it.

Last week, people noticed the nine-foot fork was bent over, like someone tried to break it off its base. So the town was going to fix it. But by the next morning, it was gone.

It sounds like whoever bent the fork came back with tools and unbolted it from the ground. Police still don't know where it is or WHY they took it. But they might be trying to sell it as scrap metal.

The artist who made it called all the scrap yards around town. So if someone shows up with a nine-foot fork, they'll call the cops.

The mayor hopes that whoever took it drops it back off in the same spot, no questions asked. But if that doesn't happen, they WILL rebuild.

A Refrigerator Repairman Stole $30,000 Worth of Turtles

A refrigerator repairman stole $30,000 from a business owner in Florida . . . but he didn't take cash, he took TURTLES.

The thief is 47-year-old Jermaine Wofford. He'd been hired by a turtle breeder to repair a beverage cooler. He allegedly stole a few things on an initial visit, and then said he needed to return when he had a special part.

After his second visit, the breeder noticed that 18 turtles were missing, and they were worth $30,000. That's when they looked at the surveillance footage . . . saw Jermaine stealing the turtles . . . and called police.

The cops used the turtle breeder to lure the man back to the property, where they arrested him.

They were only able to recover five of the 18 missing turtles, and the breeder says he's still out $20,000. Jermaine's bond is set at $50,000.  (He'd need at least 30 turtles to cover that.) (???)
