WWE Hall of Famer SCOTT HALL . . . also known as RAZOR RAMON . . . died yesterday due to complications during hip surgery. He was 63.
Scott was placed on life support Sunday, after suffering multiple heart attacks during the procedure. The family made the decision yesterday to shut off the machines, and he passed soon after.
Scott became a huge star after debuting in WWE . . . then known as the WWF . . . in 1992 as Razor Ramon, a character based on AL PACINO in "Scarface".
In 1996, he and fellow wrestler KEVIN NASH left the WWF for WCW, where they were portrayed as The Outsiders, a team coming from another company to take over.
They were soon joined by HULK HOGAN and other wrestlers as the New World Order, an invading force battling WCW's good guys for supremacy.
The intense competition between WCW and the WWF ignited one of the hottest periods in wrestling . . . which the WWF eventually won, thanks to "Attitude Era" stars like THE ROCK and STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN.
Unfortunately, Hall fought an ongoing battle with addiction, although he'd reportedly been clean for the last several years.
Hall is actually a TWO-TIME Hall of Famer. He was inducted in 2014 as Razor Ramon . . . and again in 2020 as part of the NWO.
When Kevin Nash found out Hall was going to be removed from life support, he posted a tribute on Instagram, saying, quote, "I'm going to lose the one person on this planet I've spent more of my life with than anyone else . . .
"As we prepare for life without him just remember there goes a great guy you ain't going to see another one like him again.
See Ya Down the road, Scott. I couldn't love a human being any more than I do you."
(Check out more tributes from around the wrestling world here. Last night on WWE "Raw", KEVIN OWENS started off his in-ring promo with Scott's classic catchphrase, "Hey yo." They also ran a tribute video during the show.)
