Music: Red Hot Chili Peppers Drop New Song, Wordle, Kiss, Sting, and More!

Red Hot Chili Peppers Drop New Song

The Red Hot Chili Peppers dropped a new song, "Poster Child" and it gives off major "We Didn't Start the Fire" vibes. The song will be on their upcoming "Unlimited Love" album, set to be released on April 1st.

The classic Chili Peppers instrumentals are of course part of the song. The funk riffs from returning guitarist John Frusciante fit perfectly over the backbone given off from Flea and Chad Smith. Anthony Kiedis's vocals then sing through the history of pop music and culture, with lyrics like “The Seventies were such a win, singing the Led Zeppelin/Lizzy lookin’ mighty thin, the Thompson’s had another twin."

With the song, they also dropped a new music video. It's all animated and was directed by Julien Calemard and Thami Nabil. They also reunited with Rick Rubin as producer, who they hadn't worked with since 2011.

Instead of Guessing Words in Wordle, Music Fans Can Guess Songs in a New Game Called Heardle

There is a new game that's like Wordle, but for music lovers . . . and it's called Heardle. Instead of guessing words, you guess song titles based on small snippets.

Only the intro of the song will play, and every incorrect or skipped guess unlocks more of the song. But of course, the goal is to guess correctly in as few tries as possible and like Wordle, there's only one Heardle a day.

On the website, Heardle is described as, quote, "A respectful homage to Wordle, with a musical twist . . . Each Heardle is randomly plucked from a list of the most streamed songs in the past decade . . .

"Much love (and all the relevant copyright) to all the artists featured."
