Sean Penn Is in Ukraine and Other Random Quick Hits

You don't have to like Sean Penn, but if you don't respect what a BAD-ASS he is, you're just wrong.

When Russia started dropping bombs on Ukraine, Sean ran TOWARD THEM. He's over there filming a documentary about the Russian invasion.

The Ukrainian government says, quote, "Sean Penn is demonstrating bravery that many others have been lacking, in particular some Western politicians.

"The more people like that . . . true friends of Ukraine, who support the fight for freedom . . . the quicker we can stop this heinous invasion by Russia."

They added, quote, "Our country is grateful to him for such a show of courage and honesty."

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Penn and posted a video on his Instagram Story. He said, quote, "The more people know about the war in Ukraine, the higher the likelihood of stopping Russia."

Yesterday, the official Ukraine Twitter account Tweeted, "Tag @Russia, and tell them what you think about them."  (???)  And, quote, "Hey people, let's demand @Twitter to remove @Russia from here."

AnnaLynne McCord is being trolled for posting a video of herself delivering a spoken word poem to Vladimir Putin.

It starts with, "Dear President Vladimir Putin, I'm so sorry that I was not your mother." It goes on to say how loved he would have been if she WAS his mother, and how maybe as a result he wouldn't be so, like, evil?

People are comparing it . . . not favorably . . . to GAL GADOT's infamous "Imagine" video.

Applebee's is upset that CNN aired one of their commercials side-by-side with coverage of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
