Music: Liam Gallagher Wants An Oasis Reunion

Liam Gallagher Wants An Oasis Reunion

Rumors are sparking an Oasis reunion. In a recent interview with "The Times of London," Liam Gallagher says, "I'd love Oasis to get back together. If it happens, it happens. But I'm quite happy doing [my solo career]."

He adds, "We should never have split up, but we did, and this is where we’re at.”

Last year, brother Noel Gallagher said he would be game for an Oasis reunion for £100 million (pounds), which equals about $135 million. Liam then responded that he would get the band back together for free.

Liam has been vocal in the past about mending things with his brother but claims he wouldn't be surprised if his upcoming shows at Knebworth bothers Noel.

"Look, it's got to, hasn't it? I'm sure deep down he's happy, he's not all bad. But there's going to be a bit of 'the f***er's out and about again,'" Liam says. "If he was doing Knebworth, I'd be livid. I don't care how much money you've got, how many houses you've got, how many celebrity mates, when you get home you'd be sitting there thinking, 'f***er.' But the geezer's got many faces, so he can hide behind one of them," Liam declares.

Weezer Celebrates the 30th Anniversary

Weezer turns 30! The band held their first practice with lead singer-songwriter Rivers Cuomo, drummer Patrick Wilson, early bassist Matt Sharp, and early guitarist Jason Cropper on February 15th, 1992, in Los Angeles.

Karl Koch, Weezer's longtime assistant, documentarian, and roadie, celebrates the rock band's legacy in a recent social media post.

"And just like that, it's been 30 years to the day that Weezer was born," Koch writes. "On 2/15/92, Rivers Cuomo, Patrick Wilson, Matt Sharp, and Jason Cropper met at TK Productions at 1956 Cotner Ave in West LA, for the first of 3 days of rehearsals, running through about 20 different songs numerous times, including a few songs that would make it to the “Blue Album” 2 years later."

Koch continues, "For all of this, Weezer wasn't really even 'Weezer' yet, because the band wouldn't get its name until a few hours before their first show on 3/19/92, closing the night out at Raji's after the debut performance of Keanu Reeves' Dogstar.''

Finally, he adds, "But regardless of when the name stuck, the band that has been going strong for 30 years now was born." Check out the full post below:
