Foo Fighters Will Perform a Free VR Concert After the Super Bowl Game

Our concerts in the Metaverse in the future? FOO FIGHTERS announced they'll be performing a FREE streamable concert after the Super Bowl . . . in 180-degree Virtual Reality.

The show will start at 8:00 p.m. Pacific, or directly following the game . . . whichever is later. If you miss the show, it'll be available in Oculus TV and Horizon Venues.

The concert will take place thanks to Meta Quest, so make sure your Oculus headset is fully charged and head to the Horizon Venues app.

But if you don't have one, you can still watch the show in 2-D on Foo's Facebook page.

DAVE GROHL said, quote, "Foo Fighters love a challenge . . . from playing the biggest stages in the world to the tiniest clubs to making movies and miniseries. We've pretty much done it all . . .

"But we've never collaborated with [filmmaker] Mark Romanek on a conceptual set of songs for a worldwide audience. Join us when we cross that one off the [Foo Fighters] bucket list!"

They'll be performing a mix of hits, songs they don't play often, and even one that'll be played live for the first time . . . all on a custom stage.

The show will start at 8:00 p.m. Pacific, or directly following the game . . . whichever is later. If you miss the show, it'll be available in Oculus TV and Horizon Venues.

The Eddie Vedder / Nikki Sixx Feud Rolls On

EDDIE VEDDER kept his feud with NIKKI SIXX going by taking a couple of shots during a solo show in Newark, New Jersey.

As you may recall, Eddie started the beef by ripping on MOTLEY CRUE and other hair bands . . . and Nikki responded by calling PEARL JAM, quote, "one of the most boring bands in history."

So during the New Jersey gig, Eddie was introducing a drum solo and he said, quote, "That drum kit. That silver, beautiful machine that is the engine . . . does not need to elevate or rotate to do its job. Let me just point that out."

That was obviously a crack at Crue drummer TOMMY LEE and the elaborate drum sets he's played over the years. (Eddie's drummer on this tour is Chad Smith from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, by the way.)

Eddie also posted a video of the crowd singing along and said, quote, "We love our bored fans."
