David Letterman Is Returning to "Late Night" for Its 40th Anniversary 

David Letterman is making a guest appearance on "Late Night with Seth Meyers" to celebrate the show's 40th anniversary on February 1st.

"Late Night" first premiered on February 1st, 1982 with David. It's kind of a big deal for him to be appearing on NBC again, considering they didn't have the best breakup when Jay Leno was chosen over him to take over "The Tonight Show".

As for the musical guest? Counting Crows singer Adam Duritz because why not.
