Music: Trailer for Foo Fighter Horror-Comedy Film Released

Trailer for Foo Fighter Horror-Comedy Film Released

The Foo Fighters are starring in a comedy horror film “Studio 666," set to hit theaters on February 25th, 2022. The movie is about a California mansion where the band recorded their 2021 album “Medicine At Midnight.” Once band members enter the house, they have to deal with supernatural forces that threaten their album session and their lives.

They've now dropped a trailer for the flick. It starts with the band sitting in a board room being told they need to finish up album 10. Then they enter the creepy-looking mansion. "Do you guys get this overwhelming sense of death?" Dave Grohl asks in the trailer. But later in the trailer, Grohl becomes possessed.

The movie stars band members Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Pat Smear, Chris Shiflett, Rami Jaffee, and Nate Mendel. Other stars Whitney Cummings, Jenny Ortega, Leslie Grossman, and Will Forte are all in the movie, too.

Paramore Are Back In The Studio

It's been five years since their last album, but Paramore is back in the studio together! They are currently recording their sixth LP, which doesn't have a name or release date yet. The band first started writing in Nashville but has now moved to a studio in California where they can cut the record.

Hayley Williams explains, “Studios just feel like studios, but we brought a ping pong table and there’s a kitchen that I say I’m going to use. My Postmates bills are humiliating. We started recording only a couple of months ago. We go into the studio around 10 a.m. and leave around 7 or 8 p.m. like a bunch of dads. I’ve been trying to get SZA to come to hang with us ‘cause I want to be friends in real life but we leave the studio to eat and sleep and she’s still carpe-ing the diem.”

She also shared that their album will have some earlier influences, but that doesn't mean it's a "comeback emo record."  Hayley said, “Our output has always been all over the place and with this project, it’s not that different. We’re still in the thick of it but some things have remained consistent from the start. 1) More emphasis back on the guitar, and 2) Zac should go as Animal as he wants with drum takes.”

This album will mark the first that Williams, Taylor York, and Zac Farro have started and will finish together as a trio. In case you forgot, Farro came in halfway through "After Laughter" was made. "It’s really exciting because the three of us have completely different strengths when it comes to creating," he said. "It’s making the music and just the whole process of making a Paramore album feel completely new.”

The 2022 Bonnaroo Festival announced its lineup yesterday. The three headliners are J. COLE, TOOL, and STEVIE NICKS . . . which makes Stevie the first female to do so.

In 2020, Stevie said the pandemic was stealing her youthful years. Quote, "I don't have just 10 years to hang around and wait for this thing to go away . . . I have places to go, people to sing for, another album to make."

So hopefully we will be seeing more from Stevie this year, besides Bonnaroo.

The festival takes place in Tennessee from June 16th through the 19th. Tickets go on sale Thursday at Bonnaroo.com.
