Travis Barker Covers Adele's Easy On Me With Drums

Travis Barker takes on Adele? Yes! The drummer took to his Instagram page to share his version of "Easy on Me." In the video, he's wearing a black, long sleeve "Napalm Death" shirt. He rocks a black beanie that matches it, along with headphones. Then he turns the ballad into a rock song. Adele's voice is the one you hear singing, “Go easy on me, baby / I was still a child / Didn’t get the chance to / Feel the world around me / I had no time to choose / What I chose to do / So go easy on me.”

Travis captioned the video with just the grimacing face emoji. People loved it, flocking to the comments. Fiancée Kourtney Kardashian commented with a red heart emoji and Blackbear commented asking “Was that a stick break at the end[?]” No comment from Adele, at least just yet.

Avenged Sevenfold Album Influenced By Kanye West

Where did Avenged Sevenfold get inspo from their new album? From Kanye West! Frontman M. Shadows shared, “We’re very influenced by Kanye West. The thing about Kanye is that he is pulling from such great soul music. I didn’t grow up with that stuff — my dad listened to Boston and Alice Cooper. I didn’t get that taste of Black music and old soul. So, diving deep into jazz musicians… we’re not trying to do a jazz record, but the chord changes and progressions are so eye-opening to us.”

The new album is not yet titled and the band is still in the studio putting the finishing touches on it. M. Shadows is hoping to “finish the record in February, mix it in March.” It will be a follow-up to their 2016 "The Stage." He also revealed that in addition to Ye, the album has “so many influences.”

  • Shadows did also look to the future, hinting that this album will not be their last one. “This next record, I don’t know exactly how it comes out, but the record after that, we have no label,” he said. “At that point we start implementing all the new ideas of going straight to the base of people that really care more. The new frontier excites us; expect very wacky ideas!”
