Eddie Vedder Announces New Solo Album; Drops New Song

Eddie Vedder is releasing his first solo album in almost 11 years. The singer just announced his record, “Earthling,” will drop February 11th and just shared the new single “The Haves."

Eddie's last solo album "Ukelele Songs," came out in 2011.

Physical copies of the "Earthling," in CD, Deluxe CD, LP vinyl, and cassette, are currently available for pre-order here

Eddie also takes part in the latest audible episode of the "Words + Music" series titled, “I Am Mine,” where he discusses a variety of subjects, including how he felt when he thought Kurt Cobain had died from a drug overdose in Italy, which happened about a month before Kurt committed suicide.

"I think I went to get a pack of smokes at the gas station and in the paper was the thing about Kurt almost dying. He was in Italy. He took too many pills or something," Eddie shares "And by the time I got home, I had a freakout, like a crazy breakdown, just going like 'No, no, no.'" He adds, "I couldn't imagine the planet without him on it I was totally terrified and I didn't even know him that well and we only had a few conversations or passing by here and there and a couple of voicemails or whatever.”

Eddie notes that all he could think was that he hoped it wasn’t true, noting, "And then he survived that. And I was so grateful." He also says he doesn't like to talk about it because of his relationship with Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic. He explains, "I never want to say anything out of turn or even talk about it at all, to be honest."

Foo Fighters Drop “Love Dies Young” Music Video Starring Jason Sudeikis

Foo Fighters have dropped a hilarious new music video for their song “Love Dies Young.” Jason Sudeikis stars in the music video as a swim coach, a spoof on his “Ted Lasso” character.

The video kicks off with Sudeikis giving an impassioned pep talk to his swim team in the locker room, using some kind of European accent. He’s sporting a blonde wig and mustache, along with an American flag jacket.

“Is this a weird dynamic? Yeah sure, from the outside — to losers,” he says. “I picked you up out of the water by the scruffs of your necks, and I looked at you and I said, ‘You will be a champion!’ Or not.”

The video gets kind of gross at the end, thanks to a twist on the classic Baby Ruth scene from "Caddyshack".)

****Saturday at 7:00 p.m. on HBO: The three-hour "Rock n Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony".

"Something about it makes me feel like it's — remember the album Untouchables? It has a vibe to it that's like the early 2000s to me,” he explains, “I don't know why, maybe it's just because we took more time on guitars.”

“Requiem” is due for release on February 4th, 2022, and can be pre-ordered HERE.

Rob Halford Has Bullet With Lemmy K’s Ashes In It

Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford is remembering his late pal Lemmy Kilmister. Rob has revealed that he has a bullet containing the late Motorhead leader’s ashes.

The bullets were given out to some of Lemmy’s closest friends after his death – Rob being one of them. In a new interview, Rob says he also got to speak at the late rocker’s memorial, which saw musicians from “all over the world” get together in Hollywood to honor Lemmy’s life and legacy.

“But to be thought of, to be brought into this small circle of friends where you actually own a little bit of Lemmy's ashes and you wear it around your neck on a pendant and he's close to your heart in the truest sense in terms of his mortal remains, that's just mind-blowingly powerful,” he says. “Having a beautiful part of Lemmy physically with me right now in my house, that's just magical."
