Fast & Furious 10 Rumored To Be Shooting In Houston

F9 was just weeks away from being released last year, but was delayed for more than a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic and movie theater closures all over the world. The ninth Fast & Furious movie will finally hit theaters on June 25, 2021. The announced plan was to close out the Fast Saga with Fast & Furious 10, but star franchise star/producer Vin Diesel and director Justin Lin now say they're breaking that final film into two parts, so we can now look forward to F10 and F11.

A rumor picking up steam on Reddit has people theorizing that production on one or both of the final two movies may be coming to Houston. This is based on planned closures on 290, I-10, the Sam Houston Parkway, and some streets Downtown. Some Redditors claim to have seen what looked like scouting and rehearsals for Fast & Furious style stunts around town. An anonymous source claiming to be in the know on the production says that lack of a mask mandate makes Texas a good fit for what the team needs to accomplish and that some sequences may shoot in Dallas and Austin as well. The source claims that final details are being worked out and that an announcement on the production coming to Houston should be hitting news outlets later this week.
