GLOW Cast Reunites, Reacts To Cancellation + Asks Fans To Help #SaveGLOW

News broke last week that Netflix had reversed the season 4 renewal for their 80s women's wrestling show GLOW, due COVID-19 production restrictions. Season 3 ended on a cliffhanger and cast and crew had already filmed two episodes of their fourth season when the coronavirus outbreak forced a production shutdown. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show's 17-person ensemble cast got together for a virtual reunion last night and talked about their reactions to the weird cancellation, the good times they had making the first three seasons, and their hopes for the fan campaign to save the show.

The virtual get-together, created in partnership with HeadCount and #GoodToVote as a way to encourage people to register and vote, was planned before the cancellation new hit. "AfterGlow — The Final Bell" included Alison Brie, Betty Gilpin, Marc Maron, Kate Nash, Britney Young, Rebekka Johnson, Shakira Barrera, Sunita Mani, Gayle Rankin, Marianna Palka, Ellen Wong, Britt Baron, Sydelle Noel, Kimmy Gatewood, Jackie Tohn, Kia Stevens and Chris Lowell. It gave the cast a chance to mourn the loss of the show together and to express their enthusiasm for the idea of a GLOW movie that would give them a chance to wrap up their characters' storylines. They're asking fans of the show to let Neflix know how they feel by taking part in the #SaveGLOW social media campaign, or by mailing in letters, 80s style.
