Rick Moranis Attacked On The Street In New York City

According to the New York Post, iconic actor Rick Moranis (SCTV, Ghostbusters, Strange Brew, Honey, I Shrunk the Kids) was the victim of an unprovoked attack on the streets of New York City yesterday. Moranis was punched in the head in the caught-on-video assault just steps from his apartment building. A stranger just walked up and punched him, knocking him to the ground. Moranis, 67, was taken to the hospital for evaluation, suffering pain in his head, back, and hip.

The attacker fled the scene, but police have him on video (see below) and are seeking information from anyone who recognizes him.

Rick Moranis retired from acting, to focus on raising his children, after losing his wife to cancer in the 90s. He recently returned to the spotlight in a Mint Mobile commercial with Ryan Reynolds and has agreed to reprise his Honey, I Shrunk the Kids role for a new sequel.
