The Craft: Legacy was originally slated to open in theaters, but the pandemic situation has changed a lot of movie release plans. According to Variety, writer-director Zoe Lister-Jones's follow-up to the 1996 original will now debut on all Premium VOD platforms and be available for purchase on October 28th...just in time for Halloween. That news hit this morning and now there's a trailer and poster.
The film stars Zoey Luna, Gideon Adlon, Lovie Simone, and Cailee Spaeny, following in the footsteps of Fairuza Balk, Neve Campbell, Rachel True, and Robin Tunney from The Craft. Joining this coven as the concerned parents are Michelle Monaghan and David Duchovny.
Like the cult classic, this new re-imagining follows a high school outcast who befriends three other young women who begin experimenting in witchcraft. The trailer even teases a possible return for Fairuza Balk's Nancy.
