Hearts of Pom

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Riazul silver tequila
  • 1 oz Pomegranate juice
  • 1 oz Cointreau
  • 1 oz Fresh lime juice
  • Garnish: Pomegranate arils

Steps

  1. Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake.
  2. Strain into a coupe or cocktail glass.
  3. Garnish with a few pomegranate arils if desired.

Large-Batch Mezcal Negroni

Ingredients

  • 9 oz Mezcal
  • 9 oz Campari
  • 9 oz Sweet vermouth
  • Garnish: Orange peel

Steps

  1. Add all the ingredients plus 6 oz water into a large container using a funnel.
  2. Serve in a rocks glass over ice.
  3. Garnish with an orange peel.

Maxwell

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz Square One cucumber vodka
  • 3/4 oz Cucumber juice
  • 1/4 oz Cointreau
  • 1/2 oz Lemon juice
  • 1/4 oz Agave nectar
  • 187 ml Brut Champagne or other sparkling wine (about 1 split bottle)

Steps

  1. Serves 2.
  2. Add all ingredients except Champagne into a large shaker with ice and shake well for 10 seconds.
  3. Double-strain into 2 flutes.
  4. Top each with Champagne and chill the rest of the bottle in an ice bucket.
  5. While drinking, top with more Champagne as needed.

Chocomole

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz Reposado tequila
  • 1 oz Chocomole mixture*
  • 1/2 oz Agave nectar
  • Garnish: Chile powder
  • Garnish: Corn chip

Steps

  1. Serves 2.
  2. Coat rims of 2 shot glasses with chile powder and set aside.
  3. Add remaining ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake.
  4. Strain into prepared glasses.
  5. Garnish each with a corn chip.
  6. *Chocomole mixture: In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups water to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium and add 5 tbsp creamy peanut butter and 1/2 cup evaporated milk. Whisk until smooth. Add 1 tsp ground cinnamon, 1 tsp ground cumin, 1/2 tsp dried oregano, 1 tsp whole black peppercorn and 1 tsp dried ground guajillo chile (or other similar chile) and simmer until mixture thickens slightly. While hot, strain through fine strainer, using back of a spoon or ladle to push liquid through. Add 2 tablets Nestle Abuelita Mexican hot chocolate mix, broken into pieces, and stir until completely melted. Let cool completely before using.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz Cognac
  • 1 oz Triple sec
  • 1 oz Light rum
  • 1/4 oz Fresh lemon juice
  • Garnish: Flamed orange peel

Steps

  1. Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake.
  2. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
  3. Flame an orange peel over the glass and discard before serving.

Italian Chocolate Martini

Ingredients

  • 1 oz Chilled espresso
  • 1 1/2 oz Amaro Averna
  • 1/2 oz Kahlúa liqueur
  • Garnish: Coffee beans

Steps

  1. Chill a Nick & Nora glass with ice and set aside.
  2. Brew a shot of espresso, and pour into a shaker over ice.
  3. Quickly strain the ice out to avoid dilution.
  4. Add the amaro and liqueur to the shaker, add ice, and shake vigorously to foam the espresso.
  5. Strain into a chilled Nick & Nora glass.
  6. Garnish with 3 coffee beans.

  • 1 1/2 oz Gin
  • 1 1/2 oz Sweet vermouth
  • 2 dashes Fernet-Branca
  • Garnish: Orange twist

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Hibiscus-infused gin*
  • 1 oz Fresh lime juice
  • 3/4 oz Simple syrup
  • 1/2 oz Lo-Fi gentian amaro
  • Garnish: Sugar rim

Steps

  1. Coat the rim of a coupe in sugar and set aside.
  2. Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled.
  3. Strain into the prepared coupe.
  4. *Hibiscus-infused gin: In a large container, combine 1 750 mL bottle of gin with 1/4 cup dried hibiscus flowers and let sit for 8 hours. Strain back into bottle.
