According to The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision blog, Marvel is putting together a fourth Thor movie. Obviously Chris Hemsworth will be back, and Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi is returning to write and direct.
This will be the first time any of the Marvel characters gets a fourth solo film. Iron Man and Captain America each stopped at three. No word yet on a title, what to expect in terms of plot or appearances from other characters. **Mild Avengers: Endgame spoilers** Thor was last seen hanging out with the Guardians of the Galaxy. Speculation after Avengers: Endgame had him joining the Guardians for space adventures in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, but that's just rumor and speculation. Guardians writer/director James Gunn recently shot down the fan theory that the next movie would be called Asgardians of the Galaxy.
The studio hasn't announced a release date, but they have a panel at San Diego Comic-Con this Saturday. It's a pretty safe bet that we'll be hearing a lot about Phase 4 and the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
