Rose will make her debut as the character in a December 9th crossover event between the existing CW "Arrow-verse" shows...Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl. Greg Berlanti, the producer behind CW's DC superhero universe is also planning a standalone Batwoman series.
You may recall that Ruby Rose, an out lesbian actress, quit social media over the backlash to The CW casting her in the role of the Gotham City vigilante. The character, Kate Kane, is also a gay woman. In the comics, the current version of Batwoman started operating in Gotham during Batman's absence, using her military training in the war on crime.
