The “SwineApple” Is the Latest Summer BBQ Trend – blogged by @MsJennyb ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ For those of you who love pork on your fork, the latest barbecue trend to come out of LaPorte, Texas may be just for you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In April 2015, Josh Bush shared a photo on Facebook of his brand-new food creation that would one day take the world by storm. The caption read, “country-style-rib-stuffed pineapple wrapped in bacon, rack of ribs and bacon-wrapped boneless loin.” At the time, the post only received a few likes and about 14 shares, but two years later, the pork filled pineapple wrapped in bacon has become a mouthwatering internet sensation. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Since it’s resurfacing, the bacon-wrapped pork-stuffed pineapple has since been named the “swineapple.” The creation has been recreated and altered to include one’s favorite pork filling, but the outside shell remains wrapped in crispy smoked bacon. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Would you try a #swineapple?
