John 5 & The Creatures

Saturday night, March 25, one of the greatest modern guitarists, John 5, returned to Scout Bar to shred away the crowd. 

For those of you asking "who the hell is John 5?" don't worry, I'm here to tell you. He’s the former guitarist for Marilyn Manson and current guitarist of Rob Zombie. He doesn’t show off too much in those with either artist but for the few hundred out in Clear Lake Saturday night, we all knew we were in for a treat.

In support of his eighth studio album Season of the Witch, his fifteen song set is a dream for guitarists who can watch in amazement and try to keep track of how fast John's fingers are going. 

To catch him such an intimate setting, instead of his massive arena shows with Zombie is quite a way to spend an evening. For new fans who want to hear a familiar Zombie sound and John's guitar shredding, check out the title track off his latest album, “Season of the Witch.”
