Chick-fil-A Celebrates 80th Anniversary With New Drinks, Surprises, and A Few Firsts

The first Chick-fil-A was known as the Dwarf House, and opened in Hapeville, Georgia on May 23, 1946. The chain’s 80th anniversary is being celebrated with a “Newstalgia” Campaign that will feature new and returning specialty items, as well as other surprises and firsts during 2026. Khalilah Cooper, Vice President of Brand Strategy, Advertising, and Media said in a press release “We have so much in store this year delivering items and experiences that are fresh and exciting yet firmly rooted in Chick-fil-A’s renowned quality, care, generosity, and hospitality and we invite Guests – old and new – to join us in celebrating our heritage, while looking ahead to the future with us.” Here are some things to look for throughout the year:

All new Frosted Sodas and Floats will be on the menu permanently.
Soda flavors will include Coca-Cola, Dr. Pepper, Sprite, Fanta, Powerade, Hi-C, Barq’s Root Beer, and more.
Four retro-style Classic Cups with new designs will come out every few weeks. One Golden Fan Cup will give you an opportunity win free Chick-fil-A for a year. There will be three thousand of these cups randomly distributed across nationwide locations.
News kids meal offerings, a limited-time breakfast offering, Newstalgia-themed merch and specialty plush cows are also part of the campaign.
Cow Appreciation Day will be returning where guest who dress up like a cow will get free Chick-fil-A and the Cow Calendar that will offer free coupons throughout the year.
