Scientists Make Breakthrough In 'Cyborg' Technology

A new scientific breakthrough has put us one step closer to 'cyborg'-style human-machine hybrids.

Researchers at the University of Delaware have developed a new way to safely attach electronic devices inside human muscle or brain tissue, using a new energy-efficient coating.

They say the technology can be used to monitor health data, or to detect and track disease or tumors. Lead researcher David Martin even thinks it could one day allow for "merging artificial intelligence with the human brain".
